Diary February 6th 2021 - examples of open-ended questions.

Some examples of open-ended questions that evoke change talk are :

What is the best experience you have had with your desired future behavior ?
What concerns do you have about your current behavior ?
What values do you seek to live by in your life ?
How might your desired future behavior lead to problems in the future ?
What changes would you like to make in your routine ?

As clients tell their stories and give expression to their full experience, the discrepancies that become self-evident may seem overwhelming. If this happenes, the coach can best help a client by expressing empathy and appreciation for the good reasons leading to ambivalence.
